He helps his old friend pass on to the next life, even briefly turning to their younger selves before departing to Kingdom Hearts. Later on, Eraqus leaves Terra's heart and confronts Xehanort for the last time, convincing Xehanort that it was a checkmate. In Kingdom Hearts III, a young Eraqus and Xehanort are seen playing a game of chess in the world of Scala ad Calum, while talking about the first keyblade war. Despite his demise, Eraqus' heart found residence within Terra to help him resist Xehanort after Terra would become the villainous Keyblade master's vessel. But, as Eraqus dawns on this, Master Xehanort himself appears and finishes Eraqus off, causing him to fade out of existence. Terra wins the battle but spares Eraqus, who expresses remorse for realizing he had turned his Keyblade on his own students. As Eraqus charges forward, Ventus is thrown into a portal to another world by Terra while the latter battles Eraqus. Terra attempts to stop the execution and then soon after, Eraqus senses that Terra has descended into darkness, causing him sadness by the fact that he must eliminate two of his apprentices. When Terra returns to the Land of Departure, Eraqus attempts to vanquish Ventus to prevent Xehanort from using the boy in his plans. However, after Terra departs, Ventus leaves as well, so Eraqus instructs Aqua to bring Ventus back. Eraqus, however, is unaware that Master Xehanort had interfered, using his dark powers to affect the course of the exam itself.Īfter Master Xehanort goes missing, Eraqus sends Terra and Aqua to find him, trusting Aqua with responsibility for Terra due to his fear of the man's inner darkness.

Eraqus believes that Terra is not ready because he lacks control over his own darkness. Eraqus begins the exam and in the end, Aqua passes, but Terra fails. At the beginning of Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Eraqus prepares to hold the Mark of Mastery exam. Master Eraqus is a Keyblade Master and the master of Terra and Aqua, and he also serves as the second master of Ventus.
KINGDOM HEARTS DARK ROAD CHARACTERS UPDATE
I've said goodbyes too many times already, so I'll just say thankyou again for using this Subreddit! I don't see any reason to take it offline, but I expect it will be rather inactive for the next few months, at least until the announcement of Update 5.0.0's release.Original Characters Sora Main article: Sora Riku Main article: Riku Kairi Main article: Kairi Terra Main article: Terra Aqua Main article: Aqua Ventus Main article: Ventus Naminé Main article: Naminé It is possible that we actually do get the update in late September, but if that does happen I fear the cutscenes may be more reminiscent of the cheaper development style seen in Episode Three. Clearly the creation of Union Cross's finale exceeded the time allotted for development and extended into what would likely have been the development time for the finale of Dark Road, so I'm saying that if they want to maintain the high standard of cutscene quality, they may perhaps need to extend the Late September date that was based off potentially flawed assumptions about development time. Late September was the proposed date of Version 5.0.0 back when the End of Service announcement was posted back in February, as well as stating that Union Cross would have it's finale shipped and be shutdown by April. As of the time of writing, the notices state that this update will be delivered in late September, however with all due respect this delivery date may well be extended.
KINGDOM HEARTS DARK ROAD CHARACTERS OFFLINE
This will change upon the release of Version 5.0.0, which will convert Dark Road to being a completely offline experience that retains its gameplay, as well as delivering the remainder of the planned story. Union Cross has been stripped of its gameplay, existing only as a Theater Mode where you can customise your character again from scratch and view all the cutscenes that were in the game at the time of its shutdown, as well as some of your character's statistics if you saved that data before the shutdown.ĭark Road on the other hand is temporarily completely unplayable, right now you are unable to even select it from the main menu. As you surely have noticed, on June 29th Kingdom Hearts Union Cross x Dark Road concluded its time as an online service application.
